Pro Evolution Soccer 2018’s free demo is available today

Also on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360

Pro Evolution Soccer 2018’s free demo is available today, three weeks before the game launches.

The demo includes 12 teams, four European clubs (Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Liverpool), five South American clubs (Boca Juniors, Colo-Colo, Corinthians, Flamengo and River Plate) and three international teams (Argentina, Brazil and Germany). They are playable in two stadiums, Camp Nou (home grounds of Barcelona) and Signal Iduna Park (Borussia Dortmund’s).

The demo is notable in that it’s also available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, consoles for which other major sports video games have stopped developing. There is no demo available for PC. Konami’s long-running soccer simulation is coming to all five platforms on Aug. 12.

Konami is touting improvements to Pro Evolution Soccer’s dribbling, ball control and game speed systems to provide more realistic control and movement of the ball. Online play, though it isn’t included in the demo out today, will also feature improved 2-vs.-2 and 3-vs.-3 co-operative play.
