FIFA 18’s story mode goes heavy on the special guest stars
NBA Live’s cover star gets two bites at the EA Sports apple
Now that Madden NFL 18 has had its crack at a story mode, FIFA 18 launches its sequel on Septem— hey, wait a minute, is that James Harden?
It is. NBA Live 18’s cover star also cameos in The Journey: Hunter Returns. It’s the second chapter for Alex Hunter (Adetomiwa Edun), the Premier League’s overnight sensation from last year’s The Journey, whose career derails and forces him to find a new club somewhere else in the world. That takes him from the home pitch of the Los Angeles Chargers to the Bundesliga and Brazil.
The Journey: Hunter Returns features Harden as well as FIFA 18 cover star Cristiano Ronaldo, plus Antoine Griezmann (Atlético Madrid), Gyasi Zardes (LA Galaxy) Thomas Müller (Bayern Munich), Dele (Spurs), Rio Ferdinand (retired, current TV analyst) and Thierry Henry (retired, former handballer).
And it looks like my favorite guy, Danny Williams (Chris Walters) is back as well. Here he is at 1:08, ready to take a shot at the eminently punchable face of Gareth Walker (Lewis Reeves).
